La Cova-Ama "El Cucuy" from old Iberian folklore, the thing whispered to children so they would not wander too far, not stray too close to caves, firelight, or silence. 🕯️
Not a fairy tale. A threat.
What if the warning was true?
What if the child-stealer was not a monster born of chaos…
but a mother who never stopped carrying the weight of loss?
She stands draped in burial cloth, heavy and unmoving.
A wicker cradle locked in her arms — always full, never blessed.
Skulls gather at her feet, worn smooth by time, as if many have stood where you now stand. 💀
She does not hunt.
She does not rush.
She waits.
Every fold of cloth drags like stone.
Every detail is deliberate.
Her face carries something older than humanity, a remnant of caves, bone, and forgotten prayers. 🪨
This is La Cova-Ama as she was meant to be:
a presence,
a warning,
a memory that refuses to die.
