COSMIC FRONTIER: THE TRAIL WAS NEVER EMPTY

COSMIC FRONTIER: THE TRAIL WAS NEVER EMPTY

COSMIC FRONTIER: THE TRAIL WAS NEVER EMPTY

There are places on the frontier where the maps simply stop.

Places where the trees grow too close together.

Where the animals go silent before sundown.

Where strange lights move across the night sky.

And where travelers disappear without leaving a single footprint behind.

Welcome to Cosmic Frontier.

THE OREGON TRAIL… BUT NOT THE ONE YOU REMEMBER

Cosmic Frontier is a dark miniature universe inspired by the Oregon Trail era, American frontier history, American folklore, and cosmic horror.

It begins with something familiar.

Wagons rolling west.

Settlers searching for a new life.

Hunters following game through untouched forests.

Preachers carrying their faith into the wilderness.

Doctors treating sickness with whatever little medicine they have.

Families gathering around campfires while thousands of miles of unexplored country stretch beyond the light.

But in Cosmic Frontier, the wilderness isn't empty.

It never was.

Something was already here.

And the farther west the settlers travel, the harder it becomes to explain what they are seeing.

SOMETHING FELL FROM THE SKY

The journey changes after a strange object tears across the night sky and crashes somewhere beyond the trail.

At first, it is little more than another story whispered around the campfire.

A falling star.

A bad omen.

Maybe nothing at all.

Then the animals begin disappearing.

Strange tracks appear around campsites.

Travelers report lights moving silently above the mountains.

People vanish.

Others return… changed.

And old stories once dismissed as frontier superstition suddenly begin to sound less like stories.

Because whatever fell from the heavens didn't arrive in an empty wilderness.

It awakened something.

Or perhaps…

it found something that had been waiting for it.

SIX SETTLERS. ONE JOURNEY INTO THE UNKNOWN.

At the center of Cosmic Frontier are six ordinary people attempting to survive an increasingly extraordinary journey west.

Elias Boone — The Scout

A hardened frontiersman accustomed to reading the wilderness. Boone understands tracks, weather, terrain, and danger—but the frontier is beginning to show him things no scout was ever taught to recognize.

Silas Crow — The Hunter

A tracker with a reputation for never losing his prey. But when trails begin ending without explanation and footprints appear that belong to no animal he has ever hunted, Silas begins asking a terrifying question:

What happens when the hunter becomes the hunted?

Reverend Abel Whitlock — The Preacher

A man carrying his Bible and his faith into a wilderness where ancient horrors challenge everything mankind believes it understands about creation.

Dr. Miriam Hale — The Doctor

Educated, rational, and determined to explain what is happening through medicine and science.

But there are diseases on the frontier that don't behave like diseases.

There are wounds that shouldn't heal.

And there are things growing inside people that have no place in the human body.

Thomas Reed — The Child

Young enough to still believe the stories adults dismiss.

Perhaps that is why he notices things before everyone else does.

Eliza Harrow — The Widow

A woman already acquainted with loss, traveling west toward a future that seems to grow darker with every mile.

Together, they represent the heart of Cosmic Frontier.

They aren't superheroes.

They aren't armies marching toward battle.

They are settlers.

And they are very far from home.

THE OLD STORIES WERE WARNINGS

The frontier already had monsters long before the settlers arrived.

Cosmic Frontier takes inspiration from the strange creatures, campfire stories, legends, and folklore associated with the American wilderness and twists them through a cosmic lens.

Some creatures may feel familiar.

Others have been changed by forces that neither science nor religion can easily explain.

There are Windigos stalking the frozen wilderness.

Skinwalkers guarding ancient places that should never have been disturbed.

Massive creatures hidden deep within forests.

Things whispered about by hunters and loggers.

And beings from somewhere far beyond Earth.

But perhaps the most terrifying threat is something entirely new.

THE BLIGHT

Nobody knows exactly what the Blight is.

A disease?

A parasite?

An organism?

Something carried here?

Something awakened here?

Those infected by it don't simply become sick.

They change.

Flesh swells.

Bones distort.

Veins darken beneath the skin.

Bodies grow beyond the proportions nature intended.

Some victims disappear into the wilderness only to return weeks or months later as something almost unrecognizable.

These creatures have become known as the Blight Folk.

And their existence raises one of the darkest questions in Cosmic Frontier:

If the Blight can change humans…

what happens when it reaches everything else?

AMERICAN FOLKLORE MEETS COSMIC HORROR

That is the heart of Cosmic Frontier.

We wanted to create something that feels unmistakably American and unmistakably frontier.

Dusty trails.

Black forests.

Mountain passes.

Abandoned cabins.

Mining camps.

Covered wagons.

Old rifles.

Campfire stories.

Frontier superstition.

And then we wanted to look beyond the campfire.

Into that darkness between the trees.

Because the American frontier was enormous, dangerous, mysterious, and largely unknown to the people traveling through it.

Imagine crossing thousands of miles without electricity, radios, satellites, highways, or instant communication.

If something walked through the woods outside your wagon at 2:00 in the morning…

you couldn't Google what made the sound.

You couldn't call anyone.

You couldn't even be certain another settlement was nearby.

You had your rifle.

Your fire.

Your faith.

And whatever was waiting beyond the light.

That is where Cosmic Frontier lives.

A UNIVERSE BUILT IN MINIATURE

Cosmic Frontier is being created by Proxy Realms Gaming as a collection of highly detailed STL miniatures for collectors, painters, and 3D printing enthusiasts.

This isn't about creating another generic fantasy world.

We want every miniature to feel like a small piece of a much larger mystery.

Every settler has a story.

Every creature has a reason for existing.

Every monster belongs somewhere in the frontier.

And with each new character, journal entry, creature, and discovery, another piece of the Cosmic Frontier universe will be revealed.

Some questions will be answered.

Others probably shouldn't be.

THE TRAIL BEGINS HERE

There are still hundreds of miles ahead.

There are settlements that have stopped answering travelers.

There are stones buried in the wilderness that shouldn't exist.

There are things watching from the forests.

There are lights moving above the mountains.

And somewhere beyond the trail lies whatever came down from the sky.

The settlers don't know what awaits them.

Neither do you.

Not yet.

But you will.

Welcome to Cosmic Frontier.

Keep the fire burning.

Stay close to the wagon.

And if the woods suddenly go quiet…

don't go looking for the reason.
